I have been reading about the winchester and lake city penetrator rounds 62grain.... Any opinions? If so where is the best price on 1000 rounds?

Are you asking about loaded ammunition or projectiles only?

Is the bolt action rifle chambered for 5.56 or does it say 223 Rem?
DO NOT SHOOT 5.56 in a gun chambered for 223 Rem
There is a danger of the over pressured 5.56 round blowing up the 223 Rem chambered gun.
5.56 runs at a higher pressure than a 223 does and the chambers are cut differently.

Listen to RWH24, the 5.56 chamber has a longer throat. This makes a pressure differences.

like others have said. If your gun says 223 rem on the barrel you cant safely shoot 5.56 in it. You can shoot 223 in a 5.56 though.

I it's marked 5.56 NATO then you can shoot whatever you want in it. 223 or 5.56

It is chambered for 5.56. Really? cool! What brand? I've never seen a bolt gun chambered in 5.56 nato.
