How wet is the ground in East Tx (Trinity, Lufkin, surrounding areas) lately? The brother got stuck in his 4x4 about 3 weeks ago and I haven't been keeping up with how much rain ya'll have got since then. Wanted to get a night hog hunt this weekend but if I cant get my truck off the beaten path it will just be too inconvenient.

We're soaked but the wind has done a good job drying the open areas.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. Claire Wolfe

If you stay on a good solid path with a 4x4 you will be alright. In the last 3 weeks I have got stuck 3 times. But I have a regular GMC 4x4, with highway tires. I push it some times. Best way to know is to find out! Good luck

There's water standing in a lot of the potholes and low spots but the open areas that have been getting hit by the wind are pretty solid.

I just hope we can keep this up through June at least.

Lol yea I came anyway. Walked out to throw corn and nearly sank an inch or two with each step. Won't get the truck off the path but I figure if I drop a big hog it'll just be coyote food and an eater i'll easily drag it. Just had to hunt!!

lol good thinking!

I am about an hour south of Lufkin, The top few inches is drying out but places that have always been dry are not boggy in my pasture.
