Any suggestions? Looking for something with easy access, maybe biometrics, or hand printing, but not too easy.
thanks

I use the Sequiam biometrics handgun safe and like it a lot. Within 2-3 seconds I have access. It's a simple finger swipe access. There are several manufactures that make the same exact safe, but label it a different name. It won't fit my G35 full size, but it will fit the medium and compact handguns, like my G29. Link to safe

I actually have almost the same model gun vault with a finger pad for my larger pistol, G35.

Is it really that fast to access?

The gun vault one takes me longer to access. On mine, you have to type in a 4 digit sequence to open it. The issue I've found when practicing for access is going slow enough and fully pressing the buttons down. I have messed up the sequence several times and youhave to start over. My biometrics safe is much faster and easier, and more fool proof. So, I like it much better.

they'll just steal the whole thing, put it in a rifle safe.

+1 for the Gunvault. A little practice with it and it's fast to access. I have mine mounted to the underside of my bed frame. I can get to it with either hand and even lying in bed using my left hand to press the buttons. As others have said, it won't keep someone from just stealing the whole thing but it keeps my gun ready and my little one's fingers off it. It even has a "tamper" alert to tell you when someone's been jacking with it. My 3 yr old got a good talking to and a spankin after that one...

The handgun safe is for easy access while I am there and to keep the handgun away from kids. That's why I have 2 of them.

Have you considered this? http://www.hideagun.net/home/smallHe usually has a post in the classifieds. I don't have any pistols, but I did get one for my brother's birthday last year. He really likes it...easy access and placed it on the wall where his 4-year-old can't reach if she ever discovered what was underneath!
No prayer in school....What's next, no thinking in church? It's not just about pie in the sky when you die. It's also about steak on your plate while you wait!
