Hey everybody, newbie here looking to hunt some squirrels with my Ruger 10-22. I am aware of some spots near by lake Ray Roberts but am unsure if there are any closer and if I would need a shotgun or not. Any help is greatly appreciated! I live in Richardson, just south of Plano.

You need a public access permit to hunt public land. They will send a booklet of over 1 million acres that the permit will allow you to hunt. It is $48 so you will need this plus a hunting lisence. To answer your question Cooper WMA, Ray Roberts WMA, Caddo National Grassland WMA, Tawokani WMA, Pat Mayse WMA

I live in Richardson also. I kill a lot of squirrels at the house here with an RWS mod 36, cal 177. Neighbors have no idea. :-)
