Mike is there any lodging at Port Mansfield or back to Raymondville? Can you reach the rigs and new reefs on 12hrs?

There is plenty of lodging in Port(motel or several rent houses ranging from around 125 to 250 per night. the new reefs are only 7-9 miles out. we usually run 30-60 miles out targeting mahi, tuna, wahoo and billfish and catch our snapper on the way back in

Are you trolling, or drifting for the tuna?
There are two kinds of people in this world, those who believe they can and those who believe they can't. They are both correct.

it depends on the time of season and what kind of tuna. when the shrimp boats are here, i drift and chunk alot for black fin. I also run overnight trips for yellowfin where we chunk, drift, and top water them. open trolling is an indiscrement way to fish directly for tuna but we tend to catch our biggest ones every year that way
