1st Hunt- 1/14/12 Coyotes 40 pts, bobcats 30 pts, fox 20 pts, Coon & Pigs 5 pts.
2nd Hunt- 2/4/12 Coyotes 30 pts, bobcats 40 pts, fox 20 pts, Coon & Pigs 5 pts.
3rd Hunt- 2/25/12 Coyotes 30 pts, bobcats 30pts, fox 20 pts, Coon & Pigs 5 pts.

1) 30 % from every hunter’s entry fee will be retained for the best score from 2 of 3 hunts, for the overall score winners.
2) Top 3 teams paid by percentage of fees (1st 50%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%)
3) Signups are at Collinsville Community Center and start @ 10:30 am Sat. till 11:30 am Sat. Reading of rules starts @ 11:30 am Sat. Weigh in is also at Collinsville Community Center and starts @ 11:00 am till noon Sun. (no exceptions)
4) $100 a team of 1-4 man teams.
5) Heavy animal pot optional. Big coyote $10, Big bobcat $10, Big raccoon $5. (If discrepancy, animal will be gutted
6) You are allowed to weigh in 8 total animals, with 5 being of one species.
7) In case of tie with total points, all animals with the exception of pigs will be weighed for gross weight, and winner goes to heaviest.


Rules
1) Hunters must abide by all Texas Laws & Regulations.
2) Texas hunt only.
3) Hunters must stay together at all times while hunting. (understand everyone needs sleep)
4) All animals must be harvested between 12 noon Sat. and 11:30 am Sun. (animals will be checked for freshness)
5) No trapped or snared animals accepted. (If caught will be Disqualified from entire 3 hunts)
6) All animals must be called in.
7) If hunting near a known dead carcass a calling attempt must be made. ( NO BAITING)
8) May hunt with landowner if needed, but they must not participate at all.
9) Giving, exchanging, or accepting any animals from anybody during hunt will result in immediate disqualification and banned from all 3 hunts.
10) Each team is responsible for proper disposal of animals.
11) All hunters subject to polygraph.
12) At least one team member must be present at rule reading and weigh in.
13) You may not drive, call and shine light while driving, just to locate animals.
14) When hunting from vehicle, you must make a complete stop, make calling attempt and wait 1 min. before attempt to make a shot.

How was the Feb 4th contest ?

We did not hunt it.
but hunted anyway in that wind and got 3 yotes.

2 teams tied for 1st with 3 animals. Corey with DRT wildlife studios and his team and my team Cottontailblues. DRT ended up taking 1st in weigh out and we took second. Third place was won by some local boys from Collinsville with 1 coyote. The high winds made it a rough night for calling. DRT also had heaviest coyote beating us out by 1lb 30.7 and 31.7

I pretty sure there were 10 teams in each hunt.

I don't know about the second hunt, as I wasn't there, but the first hunt had 9 teams. Should be a bigger turnout at this last hunt.
