I've had two do that. One was shot with 00-buck out of a 12 gauge @ 15 yards and the second was shot with a 50 cal MF @ 25 yards. Just love those tracking jobs.

Nice, thanks for posting. Never ceases to amaze me that folks don't " ground check" a deer to make sure it is dead before picking up the rack.

The psycho nut bags have always been there. They just get better press now. Take away their guns, they'll use knives. Take away their knives and they'll use sticks!!

Cool! I had a doe cart wheel over from a head shot. She was facing me at about 90 yards, and I put the cross hairs right between her eyes. It hit her exactly where I aimed, and she flipped up and over backwards. when I recovered from recoil, all I saw was a white belly and her flipping over. She was facing forward on the ground, the same direction when I shot her.

Nice, thanks for posting. Never ceases to amaze me that folks don't " ground check" a deer to make sure it is dead before picking up the rack. You can most of the time just visually tell the deer is done! Look at the video after he lifts the deers head and just below the "U" in the graphics that appear across the screen you can see the tongue dangling out of the right side of the deers mouth. Experience tells you when it's safe to approach, and when it's not!

At the office we were debating what round he used. I said it was probably a 308, and my co-workers, of which only one hunts, insisted it was a 223. No freaking way.
I called Keith's office and got a return call. It was a 165 grain nosler out of grizzle ammo in .308.
I've enjoyed playing the voicemail I got over and over.
What sucks is I was in a meeting when I got the call. Had I been able to answer, I would have had an oppertunity to speak with Keith personally.
I think it was pretty cool he took time to personally call. I figured someone on the staff would have called me back.

Nice, thanks for posting. Never ceases to amaze me that folks don't " ground check" a deer to make sure it is dead before picking up the rack. It's a TV show - that was probably at LEAST the second time he walked up to the deer, possibly the 10th or 20th as they tried to get it right for the camera. Most of the footage seen around the hunt is staged (recreated) - it would be virtually impossible to film otherwise. I'm not saying the show is phony or not real. I'm saying it's almost impossible to get a nice buck to come out if you had the 10-12 people it would require working 3-4 cameras and microphones necessary to film it all live. So they film the shot and then do their best to faithfully recreate after the shot. David

My first kill when i was 12 was shot though the spine. It pretty much flopped backwards like that one.

Made more sense....sorry about that...
