1978 model Ruger #1 w/ Leupold VXIII 3.5-10x50 in .270Win. Haven't even had a chance to shoot it yet, much less take anything with it. I'm going to remedy this problem next week. Going to shoot a pig with it.

I've wanted one forever but never got around to saving up. There was always something else that I wanted more at the time. Finally took the plunge when I found and made a really good deal on this one. I really like it.

kmon, DANG & O M G!

Beauty in a great round, the 38-55.

You have it built or find it/buy it?

Land Pirate, I'm not a 270 fan but the #1 is a classy gun and the figuring is NICE!

I would LOVE to find a nice Savage 219 in 30-30 for a reasonable price. Then get a second 30-30 barrel and ream it to 30-40krag.

Classic stalking rifle.

Beautiful sharps kmon

Land pirate that is one good looking Ruger.
The wood on the Little sharps is Bastogen Walnut and thanks, the never have gotten a pic that truely shows its character.

RWH24 I wish I could afford to order a rifle like that one. It was one of those deals that was just too good to pass up, especially since I would go to the websires for Dakota and Little Sharps Rifle company, and dream of winning the lottery.

yes that rifle does get hunted with,

Bastogn Walnut is really gorgeous. If I ever do a custom build it will wear Bastogn Walnut.

RWH, I don't like the .270 either. That's why I have two of 'em now.

Yea, it's a real sweetheart.
I'm a real 17cal junkie. Got four of em.

Bullets a 20gr Nagel V-046.
They're a custom bullet made by a friend of mine up here in ID.
He only makes 17cal bullets, but they're the chit. Don't cost that much either.
If you shoot a 17cal, I highly recomend em.
PM me if you want his contact info.

Stay Safe
Charlie

JCB, You've got the rifle that I was looking for. That's a beautiful #1. If you ever wanted to get rid of it I want first dibs. I was looking for one in .280 when I found mine and settled for the .270 but still want one in .280. Nice rifle.

Nice!

Had one in 22/250 that I sold for some stupid reason that escapes me now.
One of only two rifles I ever regretted letting go.
