meathunter Bird Dog M Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 314 out hunting	My son is 11 and saved up his money and purchased a Weatherby vanguard s2 in this caliber this year and absolutely loves shooting this gun. He killed his first deer when he was seven with a .223 followed by 5 more deer with this gun. He then shot an elk with a .243 and wanted his own gun. He said he will never shoot another caliber for big game. He is 5'4" and 135 pounds at 11 and the recoil does not bother him at all. Living Day by Day.
