Anybody know what days Academy marks stuff down? I saw some clothing at one recently that was a "pretty good" deal but not enough to pull the trigger... now if they mark it down another $5 it will be a good deal... but don't want to get there after they get cleaned out!

I've been checking it out all year (2012). Mine usually had killer deals around this time but it seems like they had a decent clearance and then everything disappeared. The prices were good but nothing like they used to be. Last year I picked up a nice warm set of camo overalls for my son for $8.88! I would pick up random stuff for $0.88 like calls, scent killer, etc. I was disappointed in their clearance this year and it seemed to end much sooner than before without the killer prices. I still picked up a few things for the boys though.

The clothes were already picked over around here when it went 50% off unless you are about a 5XXXXXL.

Price drops are supposed to be done before opening on Sundays.

Dave, I feel like I looted Academy a couple of weeks ago. I had a big smile on my face that even the cashier commented on.

Didn't they get sold to a business system from the family?
