That truck load of birds reminds me of 4 gobblers in one morning by 10am. Opening weekend and the season hunting was over for me. Since then I have spread it out s little.

less than 2 months left till TURKEY TIME.

Amen to that brother. Barney, looks like ya'll had a pretty good morning. I've got 4 or 5 longbeards running around my property here in Louisiana and I can hardly wait. I'm ready to chase some Texas Rios too.

Sure wish Cherokee county had some turkey!

A couple weeks before I hunt for myself I am going on the one for youth at Bracketville. Actually looking forward to that trip more than hunting for myself opening weekend

Then one I sent you a link to? I've gotten two. Once is a maple IIRC and the other is Cedar. Not real fired up about the Cedar, but I love the maple call.

You should give those Lights Out pot calls a try. Cocobola with slate makes some sweet music!

I did get the cedar box. Had to play with the paddle screw a little but got it rolling over and sounding sexy very quickly. grin

Those Lights Out pots look great but I carry an old Primos Power Crystal that I'm partial to as well I got a Bully's Hook Buster III last season that is the shiznit (Glass with a small slate on the back of it that makes some great clucks and purrs).

I am considering adding the "Marisol Gonzales" or the "Marisa Miller" inflatable hunting companion to the vest this season. laugh

Daym u Russ! Now my mind is off on Turkey set ups instead of work!
