RKHarm24 sergeant Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 44,585 North Texas	A 223 with a 1:9 twist or a 1:12 twist to shoot lighter bullets. 40's and up to 53 hr HP's. That way you have both ends of the 223 spectrum covered. How about a 204 upper?

Chris42 Pro Tracker C Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,197 Temple, TX	depends on what you want to do with the gun. As a < 300 yard hunting gun, then 6.8 spc will probably do well. As a fun/self defense/some hunting/target practice 5.56. Also depends on what other guns you have.

My vote is 6.8 Seems to be a more potent round than the .223 800 Yard Steel Range Precision Rifle Instruction Memberships and Classes Available
