Hey guys I am in the market for a new layout Blind. I will use it for duck and goose hunting. I figured I would start looking now since alot of places put their duck hunting stuff on sale. I want something fairly light and packable size. One other key thing I am
Looking for is I want to have the framed shooting door. If y'all could please give me any input on what blind to get I would appreciate it since no places ever have them out and on display. Thanks a lot!

The migratory forum is full of opinionated duck and goose hunters.

I like the Avery Finisher that I have the best of the 4-5 models I've tried. It would be better if it had back-pack straps though.

Yup I have had a lot of different ones. Any FA one is gonna be good. But this last year I have hunted out of a rogers tough man and I like it a lot. Rogers are pretty cheap as well and have good shipping. My buddy has hunted out of a redhead one for going on four years and its still going. Just some ideas.

Avery M2 is awesome! Easy to put up and take down! I hunted out of one 20+ times this year and loved it!

My vote goes with the finisher too.....I'm 6'4 560 and can lay in it no problems. plenty of room for shells and whatever else you want in there comfortably

Avery groundforce. Nothing fancy about it but it sets up in two snaps and has held up for me for two season of hard hunting. Folds nice and flat to fit into a boat or on you back. I like it mainly because the doors fly open easily. Hard to appreciate until you have hunted out of some that you have to push the doors open or ones without framed doors.

Ive got a pacific outdoors (no longer made by them.) Its HUGE and very roomy, but if you want a small profile i wouldnt look at one. I recently bought a Cabelas Northern Flight Ultimate on sale and i love it. Ive got a bunch of room inside and its a semi low profile blind. Not to mention that it has 10" of waterproofing (basically a neo tub without the crazy price!) up

-If I buy any more waterfowl hunting stuff this year I'll be eating cat food and crackers for dinner.

It's got two poles....and no issues opening.

The frame doors blind usually have a higher profile

I'll buy another layout when they build one with 4 inch foam from the back past where my butt sits, not a pain in the butt to carry, waterproof both top and bottom and can easily cover my body. The latter of the requirements is not easy to do.

There are a lot of variations but the one I tried has backpack straps. Even with the backpack straps it was too heavy for the long walk-ins we have around here.
