I just got it this afternoon! I am planning on shooting it tomorrow and I am pretty pumped. I will post the aftermath then. Right now it has a Simmons on top but it will be upgraded! Oh it is a savage 93R17 GV with a bull barrel and accutrigger.

That is the plan for it! Now it wont cost me a dollar every time I shoot a coon. $15 bucks for 50 rounds instead of $26 for 20 .22-250.

Ive got a 93r17 and I absolutley love it. same gun as you but different stock. shoots like a dream! only thing i dont like is the clip has room to move a little and cause jamming, but its a rimfire so im not to bugged by it. youll love the gun they are sweet!

Well this is the best four shot group I was able to get out of it at 100 yards. They seemed to be tightening up the more I shot it. Before I left I was reaking havic on close pins! Talisman I couldnt sell it. Go get you one! I am gonna like this little gun.

Diamond10x, I did notice the clip didnt seem to fit all that great. It is funtional though and it shoots decent. They could have done a better job on that clip set up. I do like the accutrigger though. It is my first.

I cant remember on the bipod. I want to say its just a caldwell but there is nothing on it. I am glad everbody that has one of these likes it. They are a steal of a deal for what you get. I cant wait to put it to work! Are you all shooting the the 17gr hornadys? Has anyone tried anything else?

I absolutely love mine. Feral cats don't stand a chance for as far as I can see them. When I first mounted the scope my first two shots were in a perfect single hole at 25 yards I had to pick another point of aim because I thought I missed the target completely. At a hundred the worst groups could be covered with a quarter but many a dime would have room to spare. So far I have had better accuracy with hollow points, but everything I have fed it is more than accurate enough for the cats and skunks I got it for. My kids love ringing steel out past a hundred yards without having to hold over like they do with .22lr. The can't wait to go get some squirrels with it. I might have to buy another just so there is no fighting over it...

Oh, and where do I sign up for this welding gig? grin

I'm glad you chose a wooden stock. Too many of us go for the synthetic. It just isn't as classy if it's not wood.

As far as the caliber, I can't stomach the thought of shooting anything with just 17 grains of lead. I know it works for y'all but I'm just too hard to convince.

I've killed my biggest hog to date with a .17HMR. 20 GR. FMJ right to the brain case and she dropped on the spot. Did not even twitch.

Here is the next thing you need to buy to make that .17 even better:

A hog is nothing more than a bullet receptacle.

Kawabuggy thanks so much for the info on the 10 round mag. flehan One of the reasons I don’t shoot my .17 much was the 5 rounder's are empty about the time I get goin good.
banana banana
cant remember the exact yardage but think was around 130 all 5 in a Gatorade bottle lid. mine shoots best with cci tnt 17gr.jhp.
