Looking for a place for my 13 yr. old son to get some shots at birds next Friday. Trying to keep him interested and the Katy area hasn't been up to par this year.
Thanks!

sandman,
Any area around SA should be good. Pearsall, Dilley, Bigfoot, Hondo, Castroville. Have booked with a place a few years, I think they are called Dove Heaven or Dove Haven. Have heard a few negatives, but I have never had a problem with them. There was a family in Dilley last year with an 8 yo son shooting a single shot .410. They had him set up in front of a mojo dove and decoy spread at the corner of a grain field. He was knocking them down very well and I think he limited before anyone in our party did. It's great to see the youngsters get so excited and involved at such a young age. Best of luck!!

Setting up a kid around a mojo dove and some decoys is the best idea I have heard in a long time. It may give them enough of an advantage to keep their interest and present some easy shots.
