Im looking to buy about 15 live hogs 80 pounds and up pm if anybody know of somebody that sell live hogs.

I think they'd have to be domestic hogs since it's illegal to sell live feral hogs except to approved buying stations. Don't want anyone to get in trouble over it...

Also, I'm not sure about the legality of pasturing domestic hogs... I think there may be some county-level hoops to jump through.

We pasture domestic hogs no problem, it is just the feral thing most people know the difference pretty quickly especially when they come running for you to scratch thier heads.

Its illegal to buy live WILD hogs if your not a registeted buying station with tahc. Any buying station selling you live WILD hogs is breaking tahc regulations.

hey cool joe at the top of this section are the feral hog buying stations in texas.. btw why do you want live feral hogs if your wanting to raise them i think it would be alot less work and headache to raise domestic

you sure are keeping it in short sentences. not going into detail. if its a high fenced area then the owner of the high fence property needs to call tahc so they can send a field agent out and inpect his fence so he can become a reigestered holding facility. game ranches or high fenced properties can ONLY buy boars or barrows NOT sows or gilts. you need to do your homework before posting such a question. these laws on feral swine have been in place for several years now. ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. now if the owner is a registered buying facility, then he's ok.

It is illegal to transport live wild game from one area to another except enroute to a live buying station or final destination to be slaughtered. TPWL doesn't want disease spread from one area to another. Wouldn't want to lose everything I have if caught.
