I know he's young but man that would take a lot of control not to pull that trigger.

I would leave him for a year or two let his genetics get further into the herd. THEN when he is an absolute monster take him

X1 sometimes passing studs like that on low fence is tuff, but the pay off is awesome. Even if the next guy gets him next year at least he probably bred a few more doe.

Great looking buck that is either 3.5 or 4.5 from those pics. Hope he makes it thru to next year.

Hard to believe with his head gear, but 3.5 looks right to me.

If I had seen that hunting in east texa I would have busted him... however all the places we hunted were less than 20 acres and on free invite when I was in school, we were just happy for does during bow season and thanksgiving.

Great young buck with huge potential. I would let him walk a couple of years too and hope for the best. If still there, he will be a fantastic trophy! We have let some really good bucks pass, but none as good as this one. He has an exceptional rack to be that young. I am still waiting to see the first 12 point in over 40 years of hunting! This is one reason we have let some pretty nice 10 points walk. They may grow those extra two points in a year or two.

A mature buck might be a deer, but you can bet it's a totally different animal
