Anybody heard anything about these or have one? Your thoughts?
Also, if anybody knows where they are in stock in the Houston area, I would appreciate a heads up...

If it was me I would put back a little more $$ and go with Winchester or any of the "B" guns. The Q.A. is that much better.

Winchester or the "B" guns is not just a little more $$$... Try double the money or more...
The M3500 has the same Inertia Driven system as the Bennellis.
I have read reviews on it and they are all good with the exception of one or two... Was just curious if any fellow THF'er had one and what their thoughts were.

The Stoeger m2000 has had terrible reports but I've yet to hear a bad one on the M3500. However I have not heard many reports at all on it but would not want to be the guy that tests this one out for everyone else based on their record. And Yak it my have a similar system as a Benelli but it's no Benelli. Anyone that thinks this is fooling themselves.
The way I look at it a shotgun is one hunting item that you will use more than any other so you might as well buy a good one. If you can't afford a good one shoot a pump for a few years and save up.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I always find it funny how people have no problem throwing down 300-500 on a rifle and another 300+ on a scope dont want to spend 1100-1400 on a shotgun that takes so much punishment day in and day out compared to a rifle. Save up and buy a good gun that will last you. By the way if you have to ask if people like the gun or if they have had problems then pick a better gun. You would never ask that of a Beretta.

There was one on here awhile back that bought one and was taking it out that weekend. Never heard anything back from him. I'm one of the few M2000's that haven't had a problem. Would I buy another? Sure. Would I buy a M3500? Donno, don't have use for a 3.5" gun yet
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

I had a m2000 and traded it after about 3 hunts. U can find a good winchester or browning used for good price. I got a sx2 used on gunbroker for $500 and haven't had a problem for 4 years and counting now.

I've shot the heck out of my 2000 and have never had a problem, it's been shot in below zero snow storms and covered in sand duck hunting on the bay. Best shotgun for the money.

My buddy just bought a franchi I-12 I think it's called right before the season and it's been great so far. It's made by benelli, even has benelli stamped On the side. They are 599.

I'd buy the gun. I've got the m2000 and love the heck out of it. Maybe I just got lucky. So would I buy another stoeger...sure. Is it a Benelli....no way. But for somebody who just wants a waterfowl gun that won't break the bank I think it'll be alright. You already know the situation you're in...your not buying a Benelli so there might be a hiccup or two, but that's just part of it. I'm a huge believer that there are great duck guns at decent prices. Don't have to spend all that crazy coin to be considered a "good" gun.

Stoeger suck! Lots of jaming problems. But! my buddy has and ato. And he's can be on the clumsy side. And he's droped his Storger in the water 3 or 4 times and his gun still shoots all right for its money. I shoot a Vinci and I love it. Never had a problem. But I'm sure if u take care of Ur Storger well then it should get u by.

They are junk. I have shot them, have hunted with people that shoot them, and would never own one or waste my money on one. Spend a couple more bills and get a beretta or a benelli.

For what it's worth, the NRA just named the Stoeger M3500 "Shotgun of the Year". So who knows. Should read what they say about it. I have the 2000 and has been a great gun for me. Although I am saving up for a Browning Maxus. Now that is a sweet shooting gun. Have shot them all and for me, that will be my next purchase. But it's like anything else. Everybody will have their favorites.

To qualify for consideration for a Golden Bullseye Award, the product must have been: -Recently introduced and available to consumers prior to the selection of the Golden Bullseye Awards -Used/tested by a staff member or regular contributor to the magazine -Reliable in the field, meeting or exceeding the evaluator’s expectations -Innovative in design and function-Readily perceived as a value to the purchaser -Styled in a manner befitting the firearm industry and, perhaps more importantly, its enthusiasts See previous Golden Bullseye Award Winners http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/golden-bullseye-award-selection-criteria/ Not exactly rasing the bar with those criteria. Last years winner for shotgun was the Versa Max, that should tell you everything you need to know about the NRA endorsement.

I have had an I-12 for several years, love that gun but I think they stopped making them. I got an email from Franchi about the new Affinity and when I went to the website I noticed there is no info on the I-12. The Affinity looks like it was intended to replace the I-12. I think MSRP on the Affinity is about $850. Here is the Affinity here is the I-12 for comparison

I've been shooting a Stoeger M2000 this season and would recommend it. I haven't had any feeding issues and have shot alot cheap dove loads.

I bought the 3500 in the 24” model the week before xmas and have been shooting it since. Before that I shot a 1187 in 28” model for 4 years. I typically shoot around 500 rounds a year. I cleaned my 1187 each week in prep for the next weekend. I had a neighbor who has the m 2000 and he brought it down before I purchased mine and I was shocked to see the condition of the gun. The barrel was rusty where the choke was, there was mud packed into the trigger housing, and ribs, he stated he has only taken it apart to clean 1 time. The rest was punching the bore and spraying the bolt with oil. I accompanied him on a hunt later on and watched him sling his 2000 and wade into chest deep water soaking about half of the receiver. He said it has never done him wrong and he has had the gun for 6 years. I purchased mine after that hunt.
To this day I have cleaned mine twice. First was out of the box, second was yesterday. Since I purchased it I have about 250 rounds through it. I cleaned it the last time because about every 7th shot it would not pull the shell out. What I do not like about the gun is that the pin that holds the firing pin in has a rubber “O” ring that holds it in place. What I like about the gun. I can shoot a 3.5 (deer), it swings well for me, its lighter than my 1187, the only thing in the butstock is the nut and bolt holding the stock on. Things to note: the safety is stiff when new, if you don’t have the gun in a tight shoulder (sometimes I don’t get a good seat in the shoulder when I am caught off guard) it can bump fire (hurts on a 3.5). Other than that I am looking forward to several years of service from the shotgun. Out the door for me was 717. I had originally planed on an sx3 but I wanted to get away from gas, and I did not like the plastic in the sx3 for the gas system, ohh yea and the price. I am by no means as hard on my guns as my neighbor but I didn’t want to spend a paycheck or better on a gun that will see regular hard use in extreme conditions. At this point I am very happy with my investment. I still have the 1187 and will still shoot and use it as a lender.

It comes with shims so whatever shotgun you use now match the 3500 drop with the one you currently shoot. It will make the transition a little easier.

So Farvafire...if you are having jams every 7th shot how do you give this gun a positive review? Or was that issue just caused by the gun being dirty and after cleaning it's fine?
Yakinthebox....good luck...would love to hear an honest review. I really have not heard anything bad about the M3500 just yet but like I said (and is well known) the M2000 has had plenty of bad reviews....its almost as if you have less than a 50/50 shot at getting a good one.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!
