I like the burnum bro W4 its wood has a great sound and very easy for beginning mouth callers

find an older "circe " the new ones are now manf by lohman but still good as well. ebay has a few older models on there now.

I use a sceery soft bite variable pitch. Works great on cats and foxes.

Something like this, hand carved, with a handmade toneboard. It can be tuned to just about any distress sound. Or like these, the toneboard is shown in this photo.

You might want to check with dogcatcher^^^^ he makes some really good calls,got some from him 2 or 3 years ago for myself and my son..excellant work.. quick service never had any problems with them.

If your coyotes are hunted quite a bit, I would consider getting a diaphram howler. Not many people use them, so sometimes they can pull out dogs who have heard the distress calls multiple times. Primos has a good call with a dvd that explains the meanings of different howls and costs about $20.

Johnny Stewart makes a variable tone cotton tail call that I had a lot of luck with. Haven't seen one jb stores for years they might have them on their website though
