hopefully peta don't see the pics of the live animals, that would just add fuel to their fire...reminds me of those sarah mcglachlin commercials! Do you sell the hides? Good trapping!

I got a question, and no I have no problems with trapping, I am just curious about something that popped in my head. What happens if a neighbor's dog or cat gets caught in one of those. I would like to trap on my land but I know some people in the area let their animals run loose and there is a chance they would stumble upon on my traps and get caught in them. Would I be liable for something like that?

Nice beaver by the way.

The leg holds don't hurt the animal they just hold then I have snapped my hand is many a trap. The pic of my bloody hand is from a conibear trap not a foot hold so in a nut shell you could be liable depends on the neighbor but it doesn't hurt the animal

Nice catches. What's your favorite set?? I have good luck with dirthole sets for everything. And flashy flat sets or walk through sets for cats and fox. Huntinglonewolf is a good trapping forum and I buy almost all my supplies/ baits from Marty there (super nice guy). Good luck on the rest of your season.

Cullen I'm on trapperman I like it quite a bit and for conis I like blind trail sets and dirt hole for leg holds.

Dsst I had a coni hit me just right to where it took a lot of skin off my ring finger knuckle

Sounds good. I haven't ever used conis only bridgers and duke coil springs but want to try em out when I get a chance. Dsst- I run about 50 traps on about 5 throughout 5 different locations, but I know some people who run as many as 300 traps at one time! Don't have that kind of time on my hands haha

If you catch the dog or cat just let it out , as long as it on ur property nothing they can do , I caught neighbors dog before they was mad but game warden said "your dog went to the trap the trap didn't come to him "

Looks like your doing things right. Just remember in today's political weather to always present yourself and your pictures as nothing but professional. My grandfather made part of his living trapping when he was a young man. He passed a lot of tradition on to me. I started trapping at age 6 and I did run traplines for a few years myself. Always good to see someone carrying on the art of trapping. I have not been a member in several years, but someone as active in trapping as you are might want to look into joining the Texas Trappers and Fur Hunters Association as a great resource.

Looks like you have it figured out. I can remember going out running my granddad's trap lines when I was a kid. Keep it up.

You photos and info rememind me of the good 'ol days when i was in high school and after. I ran a couple of lines in Bosque Co. Made some spending money. Sold them to the buyer at the feed store once a week in Meridian. I still have my leg holds out in the storage shed.

You've got a good set up there. Nice work.

Do you think peta says I hope the hunters dont see our new ad in whatever magazine it will add fuel to their fire? Why are we scared of them? It is perfectly legal, they are going to fight it period, they are very rich and have the support of many rich people, a couple pictures of legally taken animals is not gonna inspire them.
