Brass is easy to make from 284 win brass. The 284 brass is larger diameter than the 338 federal so not a simple rechamber job. I bet Chad could load you some ammo but might need to borrow your dies to do that.

Wow, I've never heard of this caliber, but it's a cool concept! It would be a good 338 round, though.
With a wildcat like this, there's a lot of specifics you'd need to know. If you have brass and dies already, it shoudl be easy to load some up. Do you have any loading data with it?
I'm assuming your making brass from necking Winchester brass up to .338 caliber? It would work if you did it in small steps. That's a .090" increase in size. I'd only worry that the necks would be too thin by the time you necked it up this much.
The 338 Federal is a smaller diameter case, so you would loose at least 1.5", maybe 2" if you rechambered the existing barrel.

Depending on the contour of the barrel it might or might not be able to be setback enough to chamber. I think I have some publushed load data for the wildcat. Will check.

Well was wrong on that book having load data for 338-284. It has data for 22-284, 5mm-284, 25-284, 6.5-284, 270-284, 284 and 30-284.

If you want to open up the .284 case a bit more, I have loading data for the .375-284. Found it in the "new" 6th edition of Handloaders Digest.

ask chad what it would cost to do 50 rounds Just tell me what I need to do. Do you have brass, do I need to provide brass? What components are you wanting to use- powder, primer? If you have any load data on this round, it would also help. I can get you some figures. Thanks! Chad
