How long do y'all wait to check traps? I hate leaving my trap set, but I can go back about every 4 or 5 days. Say if I got a pig when I left would it be ok for 4 days?

In winter they will be fine, but summer you wont get away with it.

Hey, my sister lives in Borger!

In any case, we try not to leave them in there for that long even in the winter unless they have water since you can loose some occasionally especially smaller ones.

In the summer we check them ever single morning because they can be dead by noon if it's really hot out.

I check em every single day if they are set. No sense in letting a animal of any kind suffer.

I dont go check mine until i happen to think about it or just looking for something to do! My trap has a feeder in it though.

My daughter and son-in-law waited two days in the summer one time and the pig was dead and smelling and FAT.

It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.
