good pick JB, my buddy got one a few weeks ago.

it won't shoot anything worth a darn but will drive tacks with 155 grain hydroshocks.

killed a blackbuck doe with it at 60 yards

it will only shoot 155 grain hydro-shocks with consistant accuracy.

throws everything else all over the place

I got an S&W Sigma and only shoots hydrashocks well too. However, I hate the unadjustable trigger-too long of a pull.

Not sure what a "scucker" is but I will assume that you mean a "sucker". If so, suckers usually are the ones with the biggest mouth, and after reading some of your posts, I think you fit the bill.

I'd go with a SIG, Glocks are dang fine pistols, that have proven themselves many times over. But i just can't stand plastic in a handgun. Never have, never will.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Just because I don’t like pistol Pete or b&s guns there’s no need for name calling. You must be one of those old farts that is over opinionated time for some warm milk and geritol.

I have the HK USP tactical and love it. Mine is in 45, but they make it in 40 as well. It has a pollygonal barrel as opposed to rifeling threads and it is super accurate. They are high, but a very good gun.

If money's not an issue, here's my opinion in order:
SIG
HK
GLOCK
S&W M&P

You can get Sigs in your price range. Might as well start with the best there is.....
