Hello, I was wondering witch scope mounts/rings would be best on a TC encore 45/70? Thanks for your info!

all I know is I bought some one peice mount and base and tried to put a burris with posi lock and the posi lock didnt work with it .

Well i am just not sure! i hear that these Tally mounts are real good?? but never heard much on them!

I have a TC Encore pistol, 30-06, with a 15" barrel. I have Leupold 1 piece base and Leupold rings and a variable scope and it shoots great!! I also have Leupold rings and bases on a Freedom Arms 454 Casull and works great too!!

I just bought a pro hunter and was wondering the same. I was wanting a 1 piece base but am also considering the leupolds.

I just check the Tally mounts and they are a one piece mount where the rings and base are made as one! they seem like they would be very solid! check them out and see what you think Slayer12

The Leupold base that I am talking about is 1 piece with double dovetail slots, so there is no way the rings can slip in the base. Then I have Leupold rings also. I think it is one of the strongest that you can buy, especially for a gun with a lot of recoil like my Encore pistol 30-06 or 454 Casull handgun.

I've used several differnt types and manufacturers mounts on Encores and to my thinking the one piece Tallys are the best that there is. The extended Tally mounts really give you a lot more leaway in front to back movement on the scope as the rings are farther apart than most Encore mounts.
I haven't found any better.

You bet, i am still trying to make up my mind,my thought is less parts that can come lose, i did find another one peice mount like the Tally mounts these are called dednutz mounts, looks to me the same as the Tally's but a little bit cleaner look!

They have a website www.dednutz.com and you can find them cheaper if you just do a search, i think they look better than the Tally's let me know what you think?

Yeah they do look alot cleaner than the talley I think I will try these on the next barrel I buy. thanks for all the info
