So I'm in the back yard on poop patrol, must have motivated the puppy...
She starts pooping and drops a little prize every few steps, doing a complete circle around me.
I'm glad the neighbors couldn't see over the fence, but I'm sure they were wondering what I was laughing at, with the pooper scooper in my hand, head down, turning that circle.....

she was trying to make you dizzy like the game at every company picnic.

My sheltie doesn't go in circles but he does drop poo on a line. He rarely does a single pile.

He must be making me work harder because he doesn't like his food or something...

I like to call them travelers. Got a young male that leaves a small semi-circle while looking over his shoulder every now and then to see if everything is landing where it should.

My oldest Lab Dixie walks and poops and pees. She will not sit still for a second, unless we are duck hunting.

My pup will squat to pee and then when about half way finished she will start to walk while still going. I guess she thinks she is going to miss a retrieve.

Mine do too, the retrieve thing is all I can figure. I tell 'em "Get 'er done!" before we start the drills, but silly pups are too excited. Then guaranteed, halfway thru the first retrieve... there we go! And then yeah, they start 'traveling'... dokken still in the muzzle, like if they can tell I'm getting impatient with the puppy antics. Between yesterday and today, video taping to assess the pups, I have Deuce, Gix and Dixie all doing this....

Then there are the "special" pups that drop the dokken, poop on it, then look at me like "Surely you don't want me to pick THIS up... it's POOPY!" Ugh. Puppies....

That is a new one. I have never seen that happen.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only person on earth obsessed with watching my dogs/puppies poop!

I hadn't intended on "watching" but I had too, or I might have stepped in it!!

Well, you know how I'm always videotaping so I can watch later and assess the dogs (or laugh, or share a laugh)... I've got it on tape... more than once! Gix and Deuce both did the 'stop to poop' in the midde of a retrieve yesterday (thankfully did not poop on the dokken, but Gix 'wanders' and almost did. I can always post the video!!!

I've owned one dog that would jump and poop. The two I've got now HAVE to back up on something and poop, never on the ground.

I always watch my dogs poop.... LOL! Have to make sure my dogs are good and healthy from the raw feeding and stools are firm enough.

lol... This is Bear. Yukon used to do it, too. One time we found a paint can with a little poop pile in the center of the lid.... should've never let them go in the bathroom and see a human use a toilet! Then again, how handy, just remove the lid and....

I always watch, need to know if anything is unusual. I also 'inspect' piles... Especially with pups and mama's who've recently whelped. They are more prone to parasites and I want to know who needs added care!

-yes I guess I should have put a little more info in my post, I am checking to make sure the dogs are healthy and no problems with pups and such.....
