Anybody here have any luck around the Robert Lee area?? Didn't see the deer or turkey that we have in the past! We are about 15 miles north of Robert Lee.

We are northeast of Robert Lee. Despite the drought we saw quite a few respectable deer but we also had 10's of thousands of acres burn all the way up to our west fence so that pushed alot of those deer to us. Next year with the new growth in the burned areas I expect alot of our deer to migrate towards the new browse so I dont think it will be all that great for us. Did see a few Turkey this year but not as many as in years past. For what ever reason overall deer numbers have been on the decline every year since 2007 for us though.

Pray for plentiful rain this year! flehan

SW of Robert Lee on the divide. Been at this place for 10 years and the other guys for 20. All agreed worst year yet. Not sure if it was the drought the heat or last years cold. In any case it was poor numbers and quality. No shooter bucks for any of us. Lots more pigs than ever though.

Your last sentence could explain your problems this year.

If you don't mind me asking what are all of you paying? We pay $1500 for the year.

I would say 1500 to 2500 would be about the going rate depending on what the ranch has to offer...water, elec, housing, ect..ect

I've been on the same lease in Tom Green county for 15 years. this was by far the worst I've seen it. No shooter bucks. I'm really concerned about next year.
