I am looking to buy a food vacumm sealer and there are so many out there. My MIL got my wife a Deni, but it sucks really bad and didn't make the bags air tight.
I am looking at the Foodsaver V3880. Anyone have it?

I dont have that exact model, i think mine is the same type just a year or two older and it has been an excellent vacuum sealer. I have used it a ton on deer processing and just about everything else and it just keeps going. I dont have anything to compare it to though as this was my first sealer but i recommend it!

After burning up a bunch of FoodSavers, I bit the bullet and bought a VacMaster VP215 chamber vacuum. This is considered an entry level chamber vacuum but should last my lifetime.
They are faster, seal better, more flexible, draw a tighter vacuum and use cheaper bags (about $.05-.10/ea. The only drawback is you have to buy bags in quantities of 1000.
You can even seal soups and chili with it without any liquid running out of the top of the bag.
My wife refused to use the FoodSaver (which I still have for vacuuming the canisters) because it wouldn't seal for her. She loves the chamber vacuum sealer.

Donswin, where did you get it and how much does it cost? I have a foodsavor and only can say it is so-so.
Big ones line-up, little ones bunch-up

I got a Weston for Christmas and it seems ten times better than the food savers I have owned.
