I need a new shotgun and will probabaly end up getting a Benelli.
I've narrowed it down to either a M2 or a Cordoba....which one is better

Oh ya...not sure between 20 or 12 because can shoot both in gas driven and 20 in over/under....everything except turkeys...maybe even a few turkeys...

well, first off a M2 benelli is gonna mean a lot of bottle collecting and long hour on the paper route for you.

personally, i don't duck hunt so i don't like the M2's or the super black eagles.

I believe that was a reference to your age.

I have multiple shotguns from Italian OUs to pumps to autos. When it is time to knock the feathers off something, I grab the M2. Other than it being a thumb-eater if I get in a hurry, it is the perfect shotgun for me.

if price isnt an object, i would get the cordoba hands down. it is so sleek and slim....the thing points like a dream (at least for me).

in my opinion its the best inertia driven dove / quail gun made

I shoot an m2, simply because it feels best to me.

Both guns are great.

Both guns are reliable.

Find which one fits you the best...feels best when you bring it to your shoulder...which one you can swing the best.

Then decide.

I've got 4 benellis and like every single one - been looking for a black cordoba just haven't pulled the trigger yet. If you're gonna spend the coin on an m2 I would spend the extra and get a cordoba, slick gun.

Ok thanks 4 the input everyone
My next question: if I can handle a gas driven 12 gauge, could I handle the Cordoba, recoil wise?

Interesting you mentioned "thumb eater"! I have a nice satin wood SBE 1 that is a dream to shoot but a 'thumb eater' when re-loading for sure! farmer

no prob-the inertia drive doesn't kick any more than the gas systems IMO

How about you handle both shotguns in question (shoulder, swing, ect). Which ever one fits/feels better choose that one.

Once you settle on one, find a THF member that would let you run a few shells through one. Then you'll know you can handle it.

Good idea, but I don't think any THF member would let me....they'd probably think I'd take a neck shot on the clay pidgeon
