Does anyone have any advice on what mount to use mounting a scope on an M1 garand? I'd prefer nothing permanent. I saw one that replaces the rear sight assembly or a rail that replaces the handguard. Also what scope would be a good match to the corresponding mount.

For the handgaurd mount a long eye relief scope would be need, the one that replaces the the rear sight any scope could be used.
