After cleaning ducks after a hunt a few days ago I had to put half in my garage fridge soaking in salt water because there wasnt enough room for all in the house fridge. I ended up completely forgetting about them and they soaked in the fridge for like 3 days. Last night after I realized it I quickly put them in a freezer bag and put them into the freezer. Do you think the meat spoiled from soaking in saltwater in the fridge for 3 days?
thanks Shawn

I don't think it is a problem. It would be better if you had changed the water though to get more blood out.

Was it "icy" cold water? or just salty water? If so, what was the temperature like? If over 45 degrees, I would toss them out. Either way the meat will taste salty when you cook it. I suggest soaking it in some plain icy water after you defrost it so that it sucks some of the salt out of the meat.

It'll be fine. I leave mine in the fridge varying times depending on if I forget about it or not.

I like my beef aged for 28 days, so your ducks should just taste better
