this would be the only resoan to have it..

guess i need to know why other have it

I got one and I'm LE. I just got it so I don't have to mess with the background check when I buy guns. If the system is down, I can still get my gun.

I have had one for 10-11 years now. You can carry when you choose to.

The more you carry, the more you like to carry. I feel naked when I go somewhere without my gun (which isn't very often).

do you have to renew it every year

4yrs then 5 on every renewal.

had one about three months and rarely carry. pocket holster or coat pocket when i do. i have carried in my truck since that became legal so always have gun with me. just don't cc that much but comforting to know i can. worth it from standpoint of security and it all being legal.also gives me a reason to always be shopping for a better cc weapon!lol.

because you can... need I say more... if I need to expand on this, My grandad was abducted a few years ago (after Katrina)the guy made him go to 3 different banks and pull out $2500 at each. if that happened to him and he were carrying, there would be $7500 still in his bank and a dead guy in the car seat with a loaded weapon on him...

i too p.o and have had mine a couple years, got it when the wife did.

Just renewed mine for the first time in Oct. 2011. Got mine due to a bad experience at Lake Lewisville and I vowed there wouldnt be a repeat episode. Also due to the crazies growing in population everyday. So if i have to die I will give them hell before I go, lmao.

I have one and carry everyday. I also always buckle up in a car, and have a fire extinguisher in my kitchen. I hope to never need any of them!

I got mine in '09 and have been carrying since. Can't carry at work and I know I don't need one to have a gun in the vehicle but I feel more comfortable with it. I like that the transfers only take like 5 mins too. And theres too many crazy unpredictable folks, espescially now that times are getting rougher for a lot of people.

I had rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it !!!!

I've had a CHL for 10 years now. Carrying a firearm, whether on your person or in your car, is stupid without one. I cannot think of a downside to having one.
