I've always thought of an acrylic as a reach out and touch 'em call. And a cocobola as an up close, personal, whisper call. But what the hell do I know Shane...you heard me call and know that I really can't do justice to either of them.

So a Acrylic call is louder than a Cocobola?

Acrylic is denser than cocobolo. Volume depends more on the style of the call, insert bore diameter and the man running it. I have both cocobolo and acrylic on my lanyard. I also have a bakealite keyhole style call on there also. Its louder than the acrylic daisy cutter i have. But if i was going to take only one call with me it would be the cocobolo echo open water i have. Its much sweeter and more controllable on the low end. Just my .02$

Looking at getting a Macrohen Call. Just don't know the difference between a Acrylic or a Cocobola call.
