Hey Everyone, Just wanted to get your opinion on a good option for a motorized decoy. I am looking at the landing decoys. Specifically, the baby mojo hen, mojo hen, or duck commander hot shot mallard. What are your thoughts? Baby mojo or regular size mojo? Has anyone had any luck with the duck commander version? Do you prefer the drake or hen?
Thank you in advance.

I like a decoy that turns up the water. I think they're more effective than a landing decoy. Most of the time I set up in pockets where the wind doesn't give much motion to my spread though.

Ive got a mojo mallard, havent got to use it yet. I also have a explorer go live that will turn any decooy into a moving decoy by attaching it to the keel uses 1 C Battery.

The motorized keel contraptions work real good for about 10-15min till the battery takes a dive. Get a jerk string because they never need batteries! And they always work!! A bilge pump rigged up to a feeder butt works good also. I just bought a edge lucky duck. Its a flapping wing decoy not a spinning wing decoy. Its doesn't flare geese nearly as bad and looks awesome.
I bought a baby mojo years ago when they first came out and it worked awesome for two or three seasons.....till it took a swim! I went out and bought anouther one and it lasted all of two hunts because the motor locked up!!!!! I think the quality of the mojo products have gone way down in the past years due to the large variety of products they now make and the volume of products they make!! Just my .02

Havent used mine in water yet since I just bought it Friday at Academy but after reading decided to check it out. Put a new Duracell C Battery in it and started the stop watch on my I Phone and it is still going strong (not in Water )after 1 hr but in the water I know the time will be cut shorter. Still runing and will keep ya posted on when the battery dies.

The propellers that attach to the keel suck. They get caught up in grass and break easy.

Check out the Wonderduck website before you purchase a mojo. More versatile.

The thing the spinning win decoys are good for is catching a ducks eye at 300 yards. The other ones are good when they are actually checking out the spread.
At this point if you are getting a spinning wing decoy you should just hold off until after the season and see if you can buy one on sale. They are most effective for early teal and early season. At least that's the conventional wisdom.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Ehhh...depends on who you ask. Some of these guys may use them for....uhhh...unintended things. Cut a hole in your deke, throw in a towel and the weaselball and close hole. There are more refined techniques, but it works good for low $$$.

My buddies and I have tried the baby mojo mallard drake with mediocre results. That weasel ball sounds interesting though. How long do 1 set of batteries last in one of those? All morning? Multiple hunts?

We also get the baby mojos and lucky ducks tilt them at a angle and let the wings splash the water when its realls calm.... the waves sometimes help move the decoys..... might give it a try , but all the ideas up here are pretty good....
