Anybody here do work in or around San Antonio. The shop I have been using has become sky high.

my taxi charges $540 a mount....and i'm glad to pay it.
he is a reputable taxidermist. I don't have to worry about him packing up shop and high tailing it out of town. i can count on my animals being done in 4-6 months, and with the utmost care. He is easy to work with and honest.
Plus the last deer he did for me, i would swear it it still alive, only thing it dosen't do is blink.
i've seen what a $300 mount looks like.....i'll pass

My taxi is great but I am paying 750 for a whitetail.

Mine went up! A full body mount on a bear or Mouflon....$3,900. Whitetail is still ok at $550. $700 for Boar and $625 for the Javelina he just did for me. $1k for full size bobcat(no special features), and $1,400 for full size Javelina. Some of his stuff is still ok, but others have just gotten to high. Not into using multiple Taxis so it was time to find a new one that was ok across most mounts.

I use joe hajek with animal art taxidermy. Located upstairs from presa lockers downtown. I've got work representing 3 different taxidermists in my home and his is head and shoulders above the rest
