 Thanks again everyone. After shooting the cat he spun around and died in a notch in the tree. Now we were faced with the dilemma of getting a Lion out of a tree 30 or so feet in the air. One of the guys I was with decided to climb the tree and try to pull the cat down. As he worked his way up he realized that the branches were to rotten to support his weight. Clinging to the tree with one arm and trying to push the cat out with his other wasn't working and we had to devise another plan. He carries his dog leads draped over his shoulder so he hooked them all together then looped one around the cats foot and dropped the leads down to us. After he got out of the tree we starting yanking on the leads trying to pull the cat down, unfortunately the branch he was stuck on wasnt rotten enough to break. I shot the branch 3 times were it joined the trunk of the tree and that weakend it enough for the weight of the cat to break it and down he came. Bulldog, I have some videos I'll show you of part of our ordeal. It's definitely entertaining to watch.

Here is a couple of pictures showing the damage that is done in a lion fight.  A close up.  Left side.  Right side.  When 2 Toms cross paths the outcome can be ugly.
