Does anyone have any experience with a cell phone signal booster? I have fairly good reception until I get to our gate. Just looking for any opinions.
Thanks

I don't know who is your carrier ,but I have the same problem, My sister-in-law works for Sprint and she told me to take it into the store, they take the phone in the back open it up and install upgrades to it. It takes 5 minutes I've done it twice and its better, but I should take it in again for another upgrade!

One of the guys brought an external antenna for the Motorolla Razor phone this year. He stuck it on top of the old bus we use for a cook house and we could make calls from right in camp. He had an extension cable for it and it plugged right into a jack that's under a rubber plug on the back of the phone. Before that, we either had to drive as high as we could in my Jeep and walk to the top of a ridge or drive out to Hwy 281 (about 20 miles) to get a signal. I don't know if they make them for other phones but for the Razor, it's a heck of a deal. I think he got it at Radio Shack.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

odds are the antenna he bought is a WIlson. All of the larger truck stops TA, Flying J, etc, have the Wilson section. You can buy teh antenna you want and the phone adapter for your phone.. We went to Fort Stockton last year with LSTO (7mag) I had signal out there at the entry of their ranch.

Believe it or not I got one of those "As Seen on TV" antenna boosters, stuck it on the inside of the phone and dang it I don't think it helped a little. It seems like I can get an extra bar out of it.

I hunted at North Boggy Slough this year out in 21k ac. of thick east texas woods. I had 0 bars, but the guides just got booster put in thier trucks and got 5 bars everywhere. I think they said they cost $350. But they did say the had burned up the internal antenas in two phones. I was thinking about getting on for my truck.

I had a former supervisor tell me that he got online and unlocked his phone and reprogramed it and got a lot more range out of it. He said everything was online, but you had to be careful, because if you didn't reprogram right, your phone was screwed.
If you can find an antenna that works, that seems like a good option. I've seen the cell phone repeaters, they are expensive.
Shoot straight and always carry a 7mm Remington Magnum.

See if your carrier has up-grades!!! It will help,as you get farther from the major high ways the signal weakens, every year I hope for the companies to put up more antenna's,most share the same ones
