Anyone in Texas hunt Deer in Colorado? I may have an opportunity to hunt on some private land. The rules and regulations seem a little confusing. Here is what I think I understand....All deer hunting licenses are by drawing only... the nonresident license is around 345.00ish. Is that for one deer? Also, I think I have to apply for a license before April 3rd.
Am I correct on all this so far? Any advice? thoughts?

If it is private land, then you should be able to get a "private land voucher" (deer tag)The landowner has to apply for it and yes each tag is good for 1 animal. 2011 deadline was April 5th. If you havent already go online or call Colorado Division of Wildlife and order the 2012 Big Game Brochure, covers all the rules and comes with big game applications and instructions, hunting there is not hard at all. Must have Hunters saftey cert, and pre purchase a conservation license ($10) You can apply online also and that is real easy, apply and buy. Colorado DOW 303.297.1192 www.wildlife.state.co.us
