We are getting a puppy in two weeks. Any one hunt any of their pups before. Great looking dogs. We are excited to get our female from them.

Is it located in Oklahoma? I looked at the pedigrees of most of their dogs. The only titles in their dogs background is show titles. There is normally a big difference in a lab bred to SHOW and one bred to HUNT.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Lots of show dogs and theraputic dogs. I know a lady who got a puppy from them for a d.e.l.t.a. dog to take to the nursing homes. Its a beautiful dog! I dont think that dog knows hes a dog either! LOL
Good luck on training..its hard work but it makes you feel good when you see your progress.
Put up some pics!

It looks like they only get clearances for hips. I would be concerned with that. I only looked at the first 3 females and 2 out of the three have only fair hips. That's not bad but unless they have a stellar pedigree and have 3 generations of better then fair on either side of their pedigree, there's no way I would get a puppy from any of those bitchs. Not to mention a few other things but that there alone would keep me from purchasing a puppy from them.
IMHO... Which I'm being very vocal about. Health clearances are mandatory. This dog will be your companion for 10 plus years. You want to get the most genetically healthy puppy you can.
You don't have the puppy yet so there is time to change your mind if your so inclined. It would be one thing if you had it home already but thank goodness you don't.

With the health test we have right there at our disposal who not get a pup from someone who health tests there dogs. If u have ever seen a dog affected with eic or cnm and have an episode u would make sure parents are tested, Angie B has a point

I got my pup from North Forty Kennels, he is about 3.5 now, great dog, a little stubborn and high strung, but doing pretty good with hunting. Here's a pic of one of his retrieves this year. Who are the dam and sire?
