Has anyone else noticed fewer numbers of wood ducks this year? I live in East Texas, but have not seen or heard one wood duck yet. Weird!

Where we normally hunt them its been dry. No water in that area, so no wood ducks.

Low water, most of their usual wintering grounds are dry or were dry when the large migration of woodies moved through.

We have actually had more this year than last it seems. They come screaming in at LST like clock work. Just sent a gorgeous drake to the taxidermist yesterday that I killed saturday morning. Cant wait to have it on my wall.

Before the split I had a bunch found. Went and shot 3 one day. Wife tagged along with the DSLR hoping for some good pictures. Have not went to see if they are still there or not.
