I hunted in my home county of Red River last weekend and saw plenty of does. I was able to bag a nice 6 pointer. I could tell that he had been eating extremely well, it took two people to drag him out to the truck. I was so excited about shooting him that I forgot to take photos but promise to do so the next time. The does are even huge. Due to my schedule I'm hard pressed to get back up there for a weekend. I plan to early December. Has anyone else had any luck in Red River?

Had a great time in the woods this past weekend. I took a friend up home to Red River County and he took a nice size doe. He was impressed with how big the does are up there compared to the ones in Central Texas. Luckily we had cold weather but due to the full moon over the weekend we didn't see what we we're hoping to see, mature bucks. We did see a few 4-6 pointers on the game cameras. I'm hoping to get back up there real soon and try my luck. Has anyone else had any luck in RR County lately?

I hunt next door in Lamar County on the River Bottoms. We've seen more deer this year then ever before. Don't know why exactly, but I'm not complaining.
