My brother was hunting my deer stand this morning and saw some coyotes running on the next hill over but couldn't get a shot. He tried barking, whistling etc but they wouldn't stop. He said they ran off in the bottom and thought they would be gone and then 15 minutes later they walked out 30yds in front of the stand. There was this black one and one normal colored one. It's at the Taxidermy for a full body.




The night before I killed this main frame 8 pt with both brow tines forked. Sorry for the crummy picture, I forgot my camera and had to use the i phone and it was getting dark.

He shot it in Milam County. Had excellent hair, real thick winter coat and no mange. Most of the coyotes we've seen this year haven't had any mange. A few years ago everyone you shot had mange.

A black coyote is high up on my list.

Nice buck! That coyote is cool. I'd have to do that too. He must not shoot a big calibre. I shot a yote yesterday morning and would love to have done something with the pelt - but there was a whole big enough to drive a truck thru on the exit from my .270.

He shot it with a 308 using Hornady factory ammo. Small hole going in right in front of the shoulder and small hole going out the opposite flank.

Awesome! I have only seen 2 in my life. One was killed by another hunter on our lease in Freestone county and the other was in Coke county but I never got a shot at him.
