Amen. Dont be hatin on the haters cause we didnt know the situation. Could have been some urban cowboy tryin to plink a bobcat with his Daisy Red Rider. Lets stop all the hatin and start celebratin! Gud cat. Even sweeter that you got the cat with no lacerations to the face, groin, ears, etc.

Got trail cam pics of another cat. What should I do? Shoot it with a .25 cal 43 grain pellet at nearly 1000 fps or try to trap it?

I took you up on your invite. Nice little forum you have going there BUT do you think it wise to allow posting of photos of dead "feral" cats that were shot? You openly gave PETA and other related groups "ammo" against the hunting community. If you make the choice to shoot cats then ShShSh and do not post photos. Ask a Mod on THF if they would allow such photos/discussion to be posted.

Time to give the BB/Pellet rifle a break and step up. Do you do any hunting with centerfires? Afterall it is Deer Hunting season.

I understand air rifles have a purpose. In fact I own a couple of low end ones. In fact I have shot quite a few pigeons as in clay.

TPWD might have a valid reason to prohibit air rifles on game animals. Concerning cats, skunks, racoons, ducks, and bobcats make sure your forum members follow your local laws.

My 2cents and then some food for thought.

I guess most of you dont subscribe to Pedator Extreme magazine. Every issue has an airgun article. A lot of people hunt yotes, cats and pigs with them.

I've been thinking of getting me a good airgun, but just don't know if I was to drop $500 on it yet.

Congrats on a new hunting experience.

When I looked at really getting into air gunning it was more like 2k to get into the big bore guns. The guns start around $500 and increase very quickly. Then you've gotta have scuba tanks and either a high pressure air source or buy a pump. It was a bit too much money for me to really get into it and I bought a suppressor instead :-D

In my opinion they are ferals. I see pics of feral hogs all the time . Whats the big differnce lol? I know the pics were a lil bad but the member that posted them is from a far off country. I wouldnt post pics of cats I shot. Oh and yes I hunt with Centerfires all the time. Do lots of deer hunting. Thanks for the visite.

Is it illegal to shoot a pellet gun on under 10 acres? Not in city limits just in a subdivision?
