I've been deer hunting for the most part, but the upcoming full moon was too much to resist. Last night I made a quick trip to the regular hog hangouts even though they haven't been very productive lately.

Finally caught a rooter in a cotton field. He didn’t want to move and I wouldn't be able to drive in, so we fired a shot to spook him. I raced around the circle and intercepted him just as he came out, positioning the truck so flint could shoot right out the window.

I thought it would all be over by the time I got out to shoot. All I can say is it’s a good thing flint has a 30 round mag. Either these hogs wear a bullet magnet on their butt or flint just likes to hear them squeal.

Just when we thought the fun was over and started to leave, we came up on a herd of hogs and entered into the bonus round. Again, flint and I quickly went to work. Everything happened so fast that looking back it seems like I only remember the first shot. The rest is a blur of hogs flying everywhere as if they were hit by a truck.

D740 - I thought the four power would have a wider field of view for picking up the runners.

Slow??? I've been watching you. Slow for you is 50 pigs in the last two weeks mixed in with deer, varmints and predators. I don't know where you find the time to run your slo gin still!
