I think it's a win for you. You get to hang your mounts in the living room. I didn't win that battle. Truth be told, I really didn't even try and fight it.
They say "Don't mess with the nest!" I say F*** IT! I pay for half of it.But when it came to the living room, I gave her her space. Not that big of a loss though.

My wife and kids are constantly putting crap on my mounts...I don't know if it is because they are so easily amused or (most likely) because they love the reaction it gets out of me! Christmas decorations, hats, caps, socks, you name it...the other day I noticed my son had torn open a package of pencil erasers and inserted erasers into all the nostrils of my animals and the antler tips...oh the joys of being a father...

fill a sealable container 3/4 full of sloe plums....works best if you prick everyone of them a few times with a pin but not nessisary...then around a quarter of the container with sugar..this isnt to sweetin the drink just to make the gin pull the juice outa the plums...and then fill container with your favorite gin....i use bombay....seal it and let sit for 3months at least...i like it around the 4th or 5th month (once you seal it DO NOT open it untill its ready)...it will be dark red with no sugar showing at all by the time its ready...the trick to making the blend as smooth as possible is to give it a full spin once every day...it helps with the mixing...but you dnt want to over due it and shake it up or the plums will start falling apart... in the end you got an 80proof drink that you can drink like kolaid...
