I heard about a situation a frind of mine has come upon where he has found 10's of thousands of ducks and geese on peanut fields where the peanuts have been up rooted and left to dry in the field so they can be harvested. I would think hunting these birds would be highly illegal......What say you?

Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

It's legal, game warden's opinion would not matter.

We hunt waterfowl in rice, corn and winter wheat fields. Peanut wouldn't be any different.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.

If you were to politely knock on that farmer's door you might find he wants those nuisances off his crops.

Unless you're around DFW. Found thousands of snows tearing up a winter wheat field and the farmer said he didn't believe in hunting them. So he'd rather watch his crop get tore to hell??? confused2

Perfectly legal. Problem is, its dang near impossible to hunt ducks in a peanut field no matter how many are working it. Find where these birds are getting a drink/loafing after gobbling up all those peanuts and you will be GOLDEN!

I've hunted over peanuts for years. Been checked a couple of times and never asked about the peanut field I was hunting in.

A peanut field was one of the best hunts I have ever had. It got me hooked on it! Just rake up some sticks and debris and pile it around you, kinda like a layout blind

Hunt it. I had a dove field that looked like we put out 20,000lbs of corn but it looked like that due to a combine malfunction. The GW's checked my hunters several times and said that was one of the best fields in Nueces county for dove hunting that they had come across. Its normal agriculture practice.
