I guess some people have never heard about aiming for the exit hole.... not a bad shot. challenging shot, but not a bad shot at all. Obviously as the deer died prety fast

Funny, cause it's true! rofl

NO I don't care what you think, I was stating my opinion, the percentage of that shot is very low, it was a lucky shot at best. The arrow only went in half way, and those the the kinds of videos that PETA and other three huggers use for propaganda. I've done the exact same shot at 45 yards, but I didn't post it for the whole world to see.

And Kyle I probably invented the phrase "Aim for the exit wound" ...

Thanks Passthru,you're right.

Bob, Does this mean that your shot was and I quote " it was lucky at best"? Then why did a pro like you take it if it is such a low persentage shot?

What the F does PETA have to do with the direction the deer is facing when it was killed? They dont care if you sneak up and choke it or stab it with its own horn or shoot it with a rifle. They dont like deer being killed period. This video is not "propaganda" it is a nice video of a humanely killed deer that died in seconds and did not suffer and guess what? PETA dont like that either.

I'm no expert and won't claim to be, but it fell quickly and didn't suffer long. Maybe look at the video a few times and:

I would not have posted that at all!

That is some good PETA material.

So you believe we as hunters should censor ourselves according to what PETA might think? Peta thinks you and I are wrong for hunting so should we not tell anyone? Should we stop? Peta thinks this website is terrible and should be shutdown! So should we shut it down?

I wasn't saying anything bad about Bob either. He is a well informed gentleman and give some great advise on here. I just happen to disagree with him on this.

Looks like a good shot to me and she was DRT within a matter of seconds.

As for your comments, bjankowski, they are ridiculous. You are giving yourself a bad name for basically attacking a fellow bowhunter and forum member who simply posted a self-filmed bowhunting video of a deer going down within view, not the video.

Takoma good shot brother regardless of what one person who apparently hasn't ever made a less than perfect shot in his life has to say.....

I actually perfer a slightly quartering away shot. It opens up the vitals very nice for a broadhead to slide in there. The shot placement might have been a touch to the rear, but still very effective. I might have waited a split second more for a large kill area, but it worked! Great kill, and I hope the meat is awesome!!
