I shot this cull buck over the weekend... 22 yards. He ran about 40-50 yards. Dead.

Here's the shot... interesting to watch all 4 bucks in the screen at the time of the shot duck... that's why you have to aim low! I replayed it quite a few times... had I been shooting at the big 10 inside the feeder pen, I probably would have missed him. He ducked a solid foot.

Yes, this was the first time I've used a tripod. I like it a lot. I always tried to prop the camera up and it usually didn't work out well.

Looked to me like the other deer spooked on the impact not the release

red, you have to slow it down to see it. He jumped for certain at the string. if you click play and pause right before the shot, you can see it pretty good.

for the other deer, I don't know.. I would guess they jumped at the same thing that made the 6 jump though. maybe you're right. you can certainly hear the impact when the arrow hits
