Buddy sent this to me and asked me to post it on THF for opinions. Personally, I'm terrible at this without having the chart in front of me. Thanks Yall.

I'm going 2.5 to 3 years. Maybe younger. Looks like it was eating corn when you shot it!

VERY YOUNG... I say 1 1/2

I guess the smart A answer would have been... Oh about 3 hours, I mean it's not even dried out yet.

1.5 yr old will usualy have or will be replacing their milk teeth
the lingual of the back molar showing dentine is something you wnt see untill age of 3.5 and the very back cusp is starting to flatten and also the tips of the linguals of the first two molars are starting to round off and look more (blunt)

Interesting. The so called experts can't do this so it will be interesting to see what the rednecks on this forum can do.

I had this buck aged at 3.5 by pictures of him. When harvested, he said "he's definitely mature" and I told him to to crack open the jaw and he would quickly change his opinion. Got this pic today and a request that I "change your (my) tone"...

Is that bling in his grill? or just filled with golden corn?

OH and NO WAY THAT'S a 3 1/2 yo deer (IMO)

EDIT
Ummm I forgot that they don't get all their teeth until they are older... Ok I'm out as an "expert" maybe it IS 3 1/2...

Looks 3.5, but usually with age, you have to +/- it. Way to hard to get exact

I've looked at this and looked at it and looked at it again. This is a 4 1/2 year old and please some tell me why it's not. All premolars are severly worn, the back cusp is worn at a slant, tooth 5 has blunt cusp, first molars dentine is twice as wide as it's enamel and the second and 3rd molars dentine is equal as wide as enamel. I don't see where anyone is getting anything other than 4 1/2 here

A mature buck might be a deer, but you can bet it's a totally different animal
