I have a friend that has a really good deal on some land out here and do not know the area at all. Price wise 700 an acre and it has a cabin and pretty big stock tank on it.
Thanks
If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?

Im assuming u meant Cuthand? If so, there is some pretty good deer hunting out there in places. Ive hunted in different parts of Red River Co. from Annona, Bagwell, and Bogota, its hit or miss. Some places are better than others
Sometimes I wonder if it will get to the point you bring an attorney with you out hunting.

Yes sorry Cuthand is the town name. I just know anything east texas you have to watch out for poachers dont know if that has changed or not.

$700 an acre sounds good. Are there any woods or is it meadow? If it's wooded he should have deer and hogs. I sold some land near Annona (100 acres)for $1500 an acre 3 years ago. It was partially wooded, about 2 miles from the red,It had deer, hogs and occasionally would hear a turkey gobble. No electricity.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Yes it is in the woods has electricity, cabin and tank. It is a great deal I have seen it being sold for as low as 875 with nothing but just woods up to 1800 and acre. We are getting a great deal just investment alone but was wondering about the hunting over there not familiar with it

I was looking at a place over there a few months ago and was told by a real estate agent that most of that area will be a lake to supply Dallas before long. Changed my mind quick, you might want to check on that.

Never heard of the Shawnee creek ranch..... Depending on how far east you are talking, is going to depend on your deer population.
700 per acre is not a bad deal, but you can also find better. Alot of the land east of here turns into black land.
If you could give me the area closer, I may could help you out.
Trespassing/poaching has just about died out for the most part. The few that did it all of the time is either dead, or in prison.

Caldwelldeerhunter - is there a point of contact for the land you're discussing? I'd like to look into it as well. I hunt in Red River County as well and would like to take a look at the land when I go up ths weekend. Thanks.

If you can find a better deal send me a PM and we can discuss. My friends dad lives out here and knows this old man getting rid of it. I have been looking online and see the lowest is going for 895 an acre. This has a cabin and a stock tank with water in it. No fence but very few of these do. Apparently this ranch is thousands of acres and the owner is selling off pieces of 60 acres each for the hunting and then up the road is selling 5 acre pieces for the cabins. It has a man gated entrance then everyone that has access to it kind of all knows each other
