Why 7 pins? Maybe for real open country hunting mulies or antelope, but DANg that is alot of pins.

Yeah I always thought that was alot of pins. I only use a 3 pin sight. but once, While messing around, I took some 100 yard shots and had a 6 inch group with 4 arrows. Thats when I thought about all those pins. But what would you take a practicall shot at ... at 100 yards ??

I use the 5 pin spotHogg, I like it and i range form 20 to 60 yards in 10 yard increments. Really it all comes down on taking a shot at a distance you are comfortable shooting at. When I was messing around at 70+ yards I lost an arrow in the ground and had to get a metal detector to find it, no fun!!

If you have an up to date bow with carbon arrows 10-30 yard pins are about the same. It drops a little at 30 not much. I would like a 2 or 3 pin at most and I have a 4.

Unless you are like me and have a 25" draw. I ain't getting too much speed and mine drop a little.

jk...It sucks having like 3 bows to choose from, unless I wanna shoot like 220 fps.
